About 2 years ago, I was first introduced to Aicon Yachts at the Annapolis Boat show. I was in the market for a new boat, trading up from a Cruiser’s 38 Express, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but wanted a larger motor yacht. I fell in love with the new Aicon 56 but was hesitant to buy it for 2 reasons.

1) It was too large of a jump to go from 38 to 56. I was concerned about the size & handling.
2) I was hesitant to become one of the first customers of a new Italian boat
manufacturer especially after hearing all the rumors about Italian quality.
So, I took the conservative route & bought British 47 footer.
Now less than 2 years latter, I have traded in my 47 & purchased a new 2005 Aicon 56.
